Posters can be submitted to one of the following divisions:

           Computation & simulation/Signal processing/System control
           Materials science/Nano, Micro, Bio & MEMS engineering
           Energy/Environment/Transport processes/Engineering design & management

Posters should be printed in landscape format. Maximum size is 40" x 56".

Review Process:
Posters will be judged by industry and faculty representatives. The presenters will compete for the poster grand prize of $500. Posters will be judged according to the following criteria:

           Clarity in explaining motivation, objectives, and impact of research
           Scientific merit (i.e. logical and succinct explanation of materials, methods, and analyses)
           Effectiveness of brief oral presentation
           Overall visual coherence and layout

Important Dates:
Submit title and author info plus resume by December 10, 2009.
Submit poster by February 7, 2010 so we can include it in the event CD. Send a pdf copy of the poster to utexasgain@gmail.com

Note: The GAIN conference asserts no copyrights over submitted material. Research papers and posters may be submitted to journals or other conferences. One of the aspects that have been lacking in past GAIN events have been lively presentations that conveyed the relevance of the particular research areas. A great emphasis will be put on the delivery of the participant. Also, a good deal of emphasis will be weighted towards the connection the presenter makes regarding societal significance. Questions?
